Alisa Teletovic’s figurative; naïve paintings reflect her life story of fleeing the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina to settle in Australia. Her subjects are drawn from childhood, imagination and memory, but in most recent times, are very much inspired by the Australian landscape, the colour, shapes and lines of the land. Alisa's art is true combination of both worlds - strange figures of the European people mingled with the true Australian dreamlike spirit and land which makes Alisa's work unique.

Alisa holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Printmaking from RMIT University, graduating in 1999 followed by Electronic Design and Interactive Media in 2000 in Melbourne. She has been the recipient of several awards, and included in a number of collections throughout Australia and Europe and has exhibited widely throughout Australia since 2000.
